the Coultas eyes

No, not the droopy lids, I'm referring to the high pressures. Today I had a hole made in my iris so the fluid can drain if the drainage channel gets closed off between the iris and the cornea due to the high pressure. It's called narrow-angle or angle-closure glaucoma, although I don't technically have glaucoma because I haven't had any vision loss. The procedure is called a laser iridotomy. It was pretty quick and almost painless. I get the other one done next week.

Gee, I had that done too about a dozen yrs ago. The flashes from the laser made a nice light show! It did lower the intraocular pressure to a "normal" range & got me off the eye drops and that was the whole idea. He said it's usually good for 10 years or so. I'll see what he says next time I go in. So far the pressure has been staying down.

I think it's a hereditary thing. Better tell our kids to watch their eyes. Guess that's better than telling them to watch their mouths.

Some one asked me last night if I was Chinese and Japanese. Coultas eyes?

Too funny. You know Billy was called Mama's Little Chinaman when he was little.
